ITALIAN FIREARMS GROUP AND TANFOGLIO ANNOUNCE “TEAM TANFOGLIO USA” PROFESSIONAL SHOOTERS

AMARILLO, TX – The Italian Firearms Group (IFG) http://www.ifg-usa.com/, the exclusive US importer and distributor of Tanfoglio pistols, is proud to introduce Tanfoglio’s 2023 professional shooting team, Team Tanfoglio USA. The Team will participate in USPSA and IPSC events this year using Tanfoglio’s extensive line up of precision competition pistols.
Italian gun maker Tanfoglio has been a major force in competitive pistol shooting circles for many years, with their high-quality competition models like the STOCK Master, Limited Pro and the Stock II Optic scoring wins in the US and overseas. Expect Team Tanfoglio USA’s shooters to continue this competitive tradition with regular visits to the winner’s podium in 2023.
Team Tanfoglio USA member shooters are:
—JoAnna Wilson, who began her competitive shooting in 2014 and is a regular competitor in the USPSA events. She has competed over the years in multiple handgun divisions, including Production, Limited, and Carry Optics, using different Tanfoglio platforms. Wilson also owns and operates Patriot Defense, a custom firearms shop that specializes in Tanfoglio aftermarket products and services.
— Bobby McGee is a U.S. Army veteran and one of the best multi-disciplined competitive shooters in the country! He’s also a USPSA three-division Grand Master and an IDPA five-division Master. A top firearms trainer, McGee has coached civilians, state and federal law enforcement staff, and military personnel. He is also the Executive Vice President at Mission First Tactical, which manufactures and distributes tactical duty gear, holsters, firearm accessories and soft goods.
—Casey Reed, of Big Lake, Minnesota, took his shooting hobby and went competitive over a decade ago by attending his first local USPSA match. Since then, Reed has traveled the world including as a Team USA member at the 2017 World Shoot. Other accomplishments include the 2021 IPSC Polish Extreme Open Champion and an eight-time USPSA Minnesota Champion. Reed is a mechanical engineer for Federal Premium Ammunition helping to design and develop new handgun ammunition.
— Stephen Lutman started out plinking at paper plates at his local shooting range and that quickly evolved into a passion for competitive shooting. Initially doing club level events, he stepped up to higher-level competitions and in 2019 made a Top 10 finish at the USPSA National Championship. Since then, he’s also notched the 2021 Carry Optics Nationals 1st Master win, the 2021 Illinois Section Carry Optics High Overall and the 2022 IPSC PanAm Handgun Championship Production Top 10. Lutman works in his family business, constructing and maintaining aircraft hangars.
—Sean Griffith began his shooting career in The United States Marine Corps in 2008. He exited the Marines in 2012, started a career in law enforcement and began honing his shooting skills through IDPA competitions. In 2018, Griffith won the IDPA National Championship in the Stock Service Pistol Division, and in July 2019 attained the rank of USPSA Grand Master in the Production Division. In 2022, Sean finished 11th overall at the USPSA Carry Optics National Championship and 1st Place in the Law Enforcement Category. His law enforcement career continues today as a firearms trainer for the Department of Homeland Security.

About Tanfoglio
In 1948, Giuseppe Tanfoglio and Antonio Sabatti founded the “SATA” company to produce shotguns and components. In 1953, the company began making small pistols in 25 ACP, .22 Short, and 22 LR. Then, in 1960, Giuseppe formed a new operation that produced semi-automatic pistols, derringers, single and double action revolvers, and shotguns mainly for the USA until 1992. Founded in 1969, the Fratelli Tanfoglio company specialized in the production and manufacture of semi-automatic pistols for self-defense. Focus again narrowed in 1986 when the company began production of models for sport shooting - specifically for I.P.S.C. and I.D.P.A. competitions.
