AMARILLO, TX – The Italian Firearms Group and Tanfoglio are proud to be division sponsors for the upcoming IPSC US National Handgun Championship, slated to take place from April 10th to April 14th, 2024, at the esteemed Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, Arizona.
As Division Sponsors, IFG and Tanfoglio solidify their commitment to the shooting sports community by supporting one of the most anticipated events in the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) calendar.
The IPSC US National Handgun Championship gathers elite shooters from across the globe, providing a platform for top-tier athletes to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. Among the competitors are members of Team Tanfoglio USA, including Casey Reed, Sean Griffith, Stephen Lutman, and Joanna Wilson, who will vie for top honors against formidable opponents from 17 countries.
Each member of Team Tanfoglio USA brings a wealth of experience and talent to the competition:
- Casey Reed will compete in the Production Division
- Sean Griffith will compete in the Production Optics Division
- Stephen Lutman will compete in the Production Division
- Joanna Wilson will compete in the Limited Division
In addition to sponsoring the event, staff from IFG will be on-site throughout the championship to provide support, answer questions, and engage with competitors and spectators alike. About Tanfoglio
In 1948, Giuseppe Tanfoglio and Antonio Sabatti founded the “SATA” company for the production of shotguns and components. In 1953, the company began making small pistols in 25 ACP, .22 Short, and 22 LR. Then, in 1960, Giuseppe formed a new operation that produced semi-automatic pistols, derringers, single and double action revolvers, and shotguns mainly for the USA until 1992. Founded in 1969, the Fratelli Tanfoglio company was created specializing its production and manufacturing on semi-automatic pistols in various calibers for self-defense. Focus again narrowed in 1986 when the company began production of models for sport shooting - specifically for I.P.S.C. and I.D.P.A. competitions.
