Representative of the infantry rifle sused during the French Revolution, The 1777 Revolutionaire is the result of modifications made to various muskets produced in France since 1765. These modifications allowed for interchangeable parts from one gun to the next.
These rifles feature middle and from bands fixed with screws, an angular frizzen profile, all steel parts with the exception of the brass pan, and an oil finished walnut stock.
